Cody’s Summer Hybrid

For those of you who are looking to “mix it up” or “try something new” here is what my son came up with for us to do this summer.

After teaching the classic P90x at the local gym we wanted to do some of our favorites and to try and get “ripped” and “lean” for our family vacation to the Keys so he designed the following workout.

We are four weeks into it and I must say I am impressed.  I am getting bigger in the chest/bicep area while also tightening up my abs.

Here is the workout:

Week 1 and Week 3

  • 30-15 (From the One on One series) / Ab Ripper X (From P90X)
  • Plyo 1-1 (From the One on One series)
  • Just Arms (From the One on One series) / Insane Abs (From Insanity)
  • Yoga Fountain of Youth (From the One on One series)
  • Legs and Back (From P90X) / Killer Abs (From the One on One series)
  • Core Cardio and Balance (From Insanity)
  • Rest Day

Week 2 and Week 4

  • Chest Shoulders and Triceps (From P90X)/ Ab Ripper X (From P90X)
  • Max Interval Plyo (From Insanity)
  • Back and Biceps (From P90X)/ Insane Abs (From Insanity)
  • Medicine ball (From the One on One series)
  • Legs and Back (From P90X)/ Killer Abs (From the One on One series)
  • Kenpo X (From P90X)
  • Rest Day

Week 5 and Week 6

  • 30-15 (From the One on One series)/ Ab Ripper X (From P90X)
  • Max Cardio Conditioning and Cardio Abs (From Insanity)
  • Diamond Delts (From the One on One series)/ Insane Abs (From Insanity)
  • Yoga Fountain of Youth (From the One on One series)
  • Cardio Power and Resistance (From Insanity)/ Killer Abs (From the One on One series)
  • Bun Shaper (From the One on One series)
  • Rest Day
